Research did not open a live inmate profile or harvest any live person data. The accessible 365Labs markup and scripts show the kinds of fields the interface is designed to render. Grant County Detention Center Contact
The local jail facility documented in official county material is the Grant County Detention Center. The research did not locate a current jail capacity on official county pages, so capacity should not be stated as a fact. The detention center is the best contact for current custody questions, visitation schedule checks, mail handling, and trust-fund questions that are not answered online.

County Jail, VINE, and NMCD
The local Grant County inmate roster is for county detention, not state prison. The New Mexico Corrections Department states that it does not have jurisdiction over county or city detention facilities, so NMCD Offender Search is the wrong first stop for a person who may be booked at the Grant County Detention Center. NMCD becomes the better path after a person is sentenced to state prison or is under state probation or parole.
For state custody, the NMCD Offender Search page is the official state-level lookup.
That distinction keeps a local jail search from being confused with a state corrections search for prison, probation, or parole records.
VINE is a notification tool, not the jail roster itself. The New Mexico VINELink portal can support custody-notification searches and registrations.
VINE can notify users of release, out-to-court, and escape events, but NMCD cautions that users must re-register after certain transfers and should not rely only on VINE for safety planning.
Grant County Booking and Bonds
A person may be arrested by the Sheriff's Office, a municipal police department, New Mexico State Police, or another agency. If the person is held locally, intake occurs at the detention center. The public booking entry may then show the booking number, booking date, agency, charge information, and bond data when those fields are public and enabled in the roster. A new schedule is created Friday for each new inmate. Visitors may call the facility to check the schedule, or the inmate may call out to report the assigned visit time. Inmates may not change a visitation time unless an opening exists and a specific reason is approved.
Grant County Mail and Trust Funds
Incoming legal material through USPS is accepted. There is no mail delivery to the facility on weekends or holidays. Incoming mail is distributed within 24 hours of receipt to the person addressed, but it may be opened and inspected for money, contraband, and content. Mail with stickers, tape, sparkles, or foreign substances may be returned. Pornography and nude photographs are not allowed in the cell and are placed in property storage when received.
